Our globally respected, award-winning agency client is looking to hire an Account Director to join their growing New York City team. The role is based in NYC and can be structured as either full-time or on a part-time, pro rata basis (three to four days per week) for the right candidate. This is a hands-on leadership position, acting as the day-to-day lead across blue chip U.S. accounts, while partnering closely with a UK-based creative team. While the role would start as a contract, it could turn permanent for the right person.

You will own senior client relationships, guiding projects from initial brief and scoping through to delivery, billing, and evaluation. The work spans integrated and social-led campaigns, including content, film, thought leadership, events, and sales enablement materials. Success in this role requires strong commercial instincts, confident presentation skills, and the ability to identify and drive account growth opportunities while ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget.

We are looking for someone who has a proven track record delivering omnichannel campaigns for both consumer and B2B audiences, building trusted executive-level partnerships, and extensive experience leading social-first initiatives from strategy through execution. You’ll be highly organised, financially savvy, and energised by fast-paced environments. A strong grasp of social strategy, performance metrics, paid media models, influencer and event activation, and emerging industry trends will be essential in this role. Above all, you’re a collaborative, solutions-focused leader who combines warmth with commercial rigor.

Internally, you’ll bring structure and clarity across teams and time zones, aligning creative, account, and project management functions to deliver best-in-class work. You’ll oversee scopes, budgets, resourcing, and forecasting, maintaining profitability while upholding exceptional quality standards.
