YOU

Our client is looking for a Brand Strategy Director to help shape a newly established creative offering across Australasia. This role will play a key part in defining how brands, experiences, and places connect — helping clients create meaningful, commercially effective work that resonates with their audiences.

Based in Auckland, Sydney, or Melbourne, you’ll work across a broad mix of projects spanning brand, placemaking, experience, and related strategic disciplines.

This is a highly influential role that sits close to executive leadership and will help shape both the direction of the work and the future growth of the practice.

You’ll come from a brand, design, strategy, or experience agency background and will have a track record of leading complex brand projects from discovery through to implementation. You’ll know how to uncover insights, simplify complexity, and build strategic platforms that give clarity and direction to both clients and creative teams.

We’re looking for someone who combines commercial awareness with strong strategic instincts. You’ll be confident leading senior stakeholder conversations, facilitating workshops, presenting ideas with clarity, and identifying opportunities for growth across both existing and prospective clients.

You’ll also enjoy working collaboratively across disciplines — partnering closely with creatives, designers, and experience specialists to ensure strategy translates into thoughtful, well-executed outcomes.

Strong experience in brand strategy, customer experience, and/or placemaking is essential. Experience contributing to business growth, commercial planning, and team leadership will also be important, along with an established network across the New Zealand and/or Australian creative and design industries. Proven experience managing financial performance — including forecasting, pricing, utilisation, and P&L responsibility — will also be expected in this role.
